John Witchel

John Witchel is currently the CEO of King Energy. King Energy is a next generation energy company bringing solar power to multi-tenant commercial properties. He is a board member of La Plata Electric Association, a regional electric coop in Southwest Colorado, and Wunder Capital (a Boulder, CO based commercial solar finance company), and previously a board member of UserTesting and Shopatron (acquired by Vista Equity Partners).

Mr. Witchel was the President of GitPrime, acquired by Pluralsight (NASDAQ:PS). He was the co-founder and CTO of Common Assets, acquired by SolarCity in 2014.

Mr. Witchel was the co-founder and CTO of Prosper Marketplace.

Prior to co-founding Prosper, Mr. Witchel developed BrowserCam, an online tool for testing the cross-browser compatibility of websites. BrowserCam was acquired in 2007.

He holds a M.S. from the University of San Francisco and a B.A. in political science from Stanford University. He is a former American record holder and NCAA champion in swimming.
