DURANGO, Colorado – The Southwest Colorado Accelerator Program for Entrepreneurs (SCAPE) has announced its Accelerator Program Cohort for 2020. 

SCAPE supports the creation and development of job producing companies in Southwest Colorado through an Accelerator Program which provides education, intense mentoring, and access to funding. After receiving 40 applications and conducting over 10 interviews, SCAPE has narrowed down the companies selected for the 2020 program to be:

Tectonic MTB Pedals builds mountain bike pedals, blending thoughtful design and innovative materials. Our products propel riders further and higher.

Local News Network The Local NEWS Network has created a profitable local news business model, which it licenses to local affiliate partners in 2,000 news deserts across the country. Using the proprietary LNN news production process, local distribution platform and back office support, affiliates are able to bring back local news to their towns, as well as provide an effective marketing platform for local businesses to reach locals, keeping more local advertising dollars in their community. LNN is helping these towns and the local businesses in them thrive.

Timber Age is a wood products manufacturer and building consulting company that features cross-laminated timber panels from local timber.

Cold Case Gear uses aerogel to make ultra-light and ultra insulating products. No frozen cliff bars, no dead batteries – works in cold and heat.

The SCAPE program is supported by local investors and mentors, and the Region 9 Economic Development District, the City of Durango, Onward Foundation and First Southwest Bank. 

SCAPE has launched 31 companies which have raised $20,750,000 in capital which contributed to the creation of 122 local jobs. The SCAPE Investment Funds are up an average of a 3X increase of investment.
