With a solid foundation in finance and over three decades of experience as a Licensed Risk Manager and Certified Insurance Counselor, Gary is a seasoned professional who has dedicated his career to working with small to middle-market companies across diverse industries. A proud graduate of Texas Tech University with a BBA in Finance, Gary's journey led him to own and manage an Independent Insurance Agency in Arlington, Texas.

In 2020, after successfully selling his business, Gary and his wife Charley made the picturesque town of Durango their home. Gary has found joy in giving back to the community. Whether serving as a Guest Services Host at Purgatory or collaborating with various non-profits in Durango, he remains dedicated to making a positive impact. Gary and Charley embrace the active lifestyle that Durango offers, from skiing and golf to hiking and snowshoeing. Their love for the region goes beyond its natural beauty; it extends to the warm and welcoming community they have become a part of. In Gary's own words, "We have been blessed beyond our wildest dreams and are both absolutely in love with the people and the community of Durango. We want to give back wherever we can be useful."
