John Wolgamott (Co-Founder)

John Wolgamott is the co-founder of StoneAge Inc. and serves on its board of directors. StoneAge is 100% employee owned and has become the leading manufacturer of waterblast industrial tools. They have over 200 employees and six satellite offices serving customers in the US and around the world.

John graduated from the University of Colorado’s School of Engineering and did graduate work at the Colorado School of Mines. He has served on several local and national governing boards.

John is a long-time supporter of business startups and has invested in over 20 small companies. He is also part-owner of Peak Brewing which operates five local restaurants.

The Durango environment appeals to John’s active nature and love of the outdoors. He has run miles of trails, rafted many rivers, and bike toured and sailed in dozens of countries around the world. He’s lucky to have his wife Angie join him in these activities and spending time with their four daughters and six grandchildren.
