Local News Network Selected for OEDIT Advanced Industries Grant

The Office of Economic Development and International Trade selected Local News Network as one of the 27 Colorado companies to be awarded with the Advance Industries Accelerator Grant Program.

“The Advanced Industry grants expand Colorado’s vital innovation ecosystem where this very innovation drives economic growth,” said Katie Woslager, senior manager – Advanced Industries. “These cutting-edge companies create jobs and leverage additional investment into the state, proving to be true economic engines contributing to Colorado’s economy.”

SCAPE has had several of its companies receive this grant including Agile Space Industries, MUNIRevs, GitPrime, Impact Fenders, and CattleFit, with Local News Network being its most recent.

Local News Network has been awarded $100,000 and will use this grant to expand their local news media platform to additional Colorado towns with the goal of helping generate jobs in rural communities across the state. “Now more than ever, small towns need informative information about their communities and region” said Laurie Sigillito, CEO of LNN. “This OEDIT Grant allows us to work with local Chambers or individuals, to rebuild a sustainable news venue across Colorado.”
