SCAPE is excited to have recently received a grant of $50,000.00 from the USDA for Rural Development.

This Rural Development investment will be used to broaden the SCAPE program into four under served counties from their current location in Durango, CO. This investment will assist start-up businesses in Archuleta, Delores, Montezuma & San Juan counties of Colorado with detailed technical assistance and access to capital. In four years the SCAPE accelerator program has launched 19 companies and created 75 jobs. The program works with an average of five companies each year and, based on experience, they create at least ten new jobs per year. There has been increased demand for the program outside La Plata County (the economic hub of the region).
