CORI helps rural towns across the country become strategic about economic development in the 21st century. In this pitch event, top tech startups from CORI’s Rural Innovation Network, which spans 25 rural communities across the country, will compete in this virtual event on Nov. 10, 2021. Each startup selected to participate will be pre-seed or seed-stage, and deliver their pitch in front of a panel of investors who will judge the presentations based on their product, business model, traction, and narrative.
This diverse panel is composed of rural entrepreneur stakeholders from across the country including, Jay Bockhaus of the CORI Innovation Fund, Amy Butte Principal of Iron Spark, Ayush Jain of Rise of the Rest Seed Fund, and Denmark West of Connectivity Ventures Fund.
Spoke Sound, a recent graduate of the SCAPE Program, transforms a canvas wrapped photograph into a brilliant sounding speaker including wireless, Bluetooth and WiFi technology so the images can hang on a wall and remain indistinguishable from art.
The winner of the CORI pitch event will receive a $10,000 prize and an opportunity to share their startup with a nationwide audience. We couldn’t be more excited for both Spoke Sound and Durango, CO—this is an incredible opportunity to shift the narrative and help people understand and appreciate the innovation that’s happening across rural America.
Join SCAPE and Spoke Sound on November 10th from 5:30-8 p.m, EST to represent Durango in the virtual crowd. You can register for this free event here.
