SCAPE Startup Showcase Announcement

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

August 10, 2020 - DURANGO, CO -- 2020 SCAPE Startup Showcase Announcement

DURANGO, Colorado - The Southwest Colorado Accelerator Program for Entrepreneurs (SCAPE) has announced its 2020 Startup Showcase.

The Southwest Colorado Accelerator Program for Entrepreneurs (SCAPE) mission is to create more high growth, job creating companies in Southwest Colorado; through our program which provides education, intense mentoring and access to funding for startups. Our 2020 programming started in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, shining a light on the importance of our mission now more than ever. We dove in, rebranded our logo and website, as well as, pivoted our programming to virtually proceed in fulfilling our mission with our cohort.

Currently we are working with a handful of exciting start-ups, a mix of product, media and manufacturing companies. Meet the class of 2020 and the graduates* pitching in the 2020 SCAPE Startup Showcase:

Cold Case Gear

Timber Age Systems, Inc.

Tectonic Components

Impact Fenders*

EsoTerra Cider*

The 2020 SCAPE Startup Showcase will now be in a new and creative format with a virtual demo day on September 22nd (NOT on Zoom, you’re welcome). This approach offers an even greater opportunity to connect with our 2020 cohort with unlimited access to pitch videos and the ability to schedule 1:1 meetings with each company to learn more about their business and entrepreneurial journey. “This year’s event gives our companies a chance to connect to our larger entrepreneur and investor community without the constraints of an in-person gathering,” notes SCAPE Executive Director, Elizabeth Marsh. We are able to do this important work because of our Sponsors. With the generosity of companies like Region 9, First Southwest Bank, and Startup Colorado, we have been able to launch 31 businesses that have raised over $22 million to create 122 local jobs. These successes are the result of our community’s support of entrepreneurs and the spirit of innovation.
