Gail Quentz
Gail Quentz has been a fashion person since at the age of 5 she made a case to her mom on why she should be able to wear a skirt every day to school, even in winter in New Jersey. After much discussion, they reached a compromise; pants worn under the dress. It’s worth mentioning that this later became a trend …
Working for smaller and start up companies in the San Francisco Bay area like Esprit de Corp, CP Shades and Sam and Libby, she has had a broad range of on the ground experience, from sourcing and production, working with factories in Brazil, Asia and California to retail merchandising, and marketing and sales nationally, internationally and on line. “Working for small companies gives you the opportunity to wear many hats, learn something new every day and see it applied, really testing what works (and doesn’t) and seeing results firsthand. All while making sure you can still make payroll. ” Most recently she worked in the home furnishings business, accessorizing upscale homes across the US. She has been through an IPO, a company buyout by a tech firm and worked with many tiny businesses as a consultant.
She recently relocated to a log cabin in Dolores with her husband and The Bear, a Bernese Mountain Dog. She likes to cook, is learning about organic gardening at 7000 feet, and hikes, usually in a skirt.
